What “no sign up” should mean

Plenty of sites say no sign up, then ask for your email to “send” the card, or ask the person receiving it to make an account to read it. That's a sign up with extra steps. A card with no sign up at all passes three checks:

  1. You can make it without an email address. No account, no magic link, no Google button standing between you and the card.
  2. They can open it without one. The card opens straight from the link, in whatever browser their phone already has.
  3. Nobody gets added to a mailing list. If a site needs your recipient's email to deliver the card, that address is now in its database. A link you share yourself never is.

Send one in a minute, no account

  1. 1

    Open the card maker

Go to create a card. There's no sign-in screen, because there's nothing to sign in to.
  2. 2

    Write it

Pick the occasion, add their name and yours, and write your message.
  3. 3

    Create it

You get two links: theirs, and your private one.
  4. 4

    Share theirs, keep yours

Send their link in the chat you already use. Bookmark your private link.

How you keep your card without an account

When you create a Bunletter card you get two links. Their link is the card. Your link is a private page where you can share it, fix a typo, upgrade it, read their reply or delete it. Only a scrambled fingerprint of your private key is stored, so even we can't hand that page to someone else.

Is a no-sign-up card safe to open?

Yes. The card is a web page, and nothing is downloaded or installed. Photos are re-encoded on our server, which strips location data from them. And if a card ever isn't okay, you can report it to us. Our privacy policy lists exactly what we keep, which is not much.

P.S.Quick questions

Can I send an ecard without giving my email?
Yes. Bunletter never asks for your email. You share the card's link yourself, by text, chat or your own email.
Will they have to sign up to see it?
No. The card opens from the link in their browser. They can react with an emoji or write back without an account too.
What if I lose my private link?
Their card keeps working, but you won't be able to edit, upgrade or read replies. Bookmark the private page right after you create the card.
Is it really free?
Yes. The free card has no ads and no trial. Extras like photos, music and a voice note cost $4.99 once, only if you want them.

That's everything you need. The rest is just picking a photo and saying what you mean.
