How to send a free ecard, step by step

  1. 1

    Pick the occasion

Birthday, thank you, I miss you, just because, or write your own. The occasion sets the heading, the theme and Bun's hat.
  2. 2

    Add their name and yours

Bun holds their name on a little sign, so the card feels made for them, not picked off a shelf.
  3. 3

    Write your message

Say it in your own words, or tap “Suggest a message” and make one of ours yours. It types itself in when they open it.
  4. 4

    Make it look like you

Choose a theme, dress Bun up, add a doodle, and pick how it opens: an envelope, a gift box or a scratch card.
  5. 5

    Share the link

Send it by WhatsApp, Messenger, text or email, copy it, or show the QR code. They open it in their browser. No app, no account.

Are there any free ecards that are actually free?

Yes, but “free” covers three very different things online:

  • Free with ads. The card is free because there are ads around it, and sometimes on it.
  • Free trial. Free for a week, then a yearly membership you have to remember to cancel.
  • Free card, paid extras. A real card for free, and you only pay for extras you can skip.

Bunletter is the third kind. A free card has their name, your message, a doodle if you like, and one of three themes. It never turns into a subscription, there are no ads, and nobody needs an account. The only sign that it's free is a small Bunletter watermark at the bottom.

You can make the free card first and decide afterwards. Upgrading changes it in place, so the link you sent stays the same.

How to send free ecards to more than one person

Make one card per person. It takes about a minute each, and a card with their own name on Bun's sign lands far better than one card forwarded to a group chat. The second one is quicker, since you already know the steps.

If several people want to sign one card for one person, that's a different thing: turn on group signing and share the second link. Everyone pins a sticky note to the same card. Here's how group cards work.

What is the best free ecard site?

The best one is the one that does what you came for. Four honest questions sort them quickly:

  1. Is it free without a trial you have to cancel?
  2. Can you personalize it with their name, not just a note under a stock design?
  3. Will the person you send it to see ads, or be asked to sign up?
  4. Does it work well on a phone, where most cards get opened?

Bunletter was built to answer yes to all four, with a small round bunny who delivers your message. If you want classic painted scenes or a huge catalog, a membership site may suit you better. If you want something personal you can send in a minute, make a free card and see how it looks before you share it.

P.S.Quick questions

How can I send a free ecard by email?
Make the card, then tap Share on your private page and choose email, or copy the link and paste it into any email. The card opens in their browser when they tap the link.
Do I have to pay anything to send a free ecard?
No. Free cards are free to make, send and open, with no trial and no card details asked. You only pay if you choose the fancy extras, once, for that card.
Do I need an account?
No. You get a private link to manage your card instead. Bookmark it, since it's how you edit, share and read replies later.
Does the person I send it to need an account?
No. They tap the link and the card opens in their browser, on any phone or computer. They can react and reply without signing up either.
Can I send a free ecard for any occasion?
Yes. There are 20 occasions, from birthdays and thank-yous to get well and good night, plus “Write your own” for anything else.

That's everything you need. The rest is just picking a photo and saying what you mean.
